Drinking juice is like drinking gold. Whenever I drink any form of liquid, I tend to look inside the glass. Water, soda, and juice. Preferably orange juice, since it is the most acquired juice in my household. But as I look at it while I drink, I think of it of being gold. My mom once told me a story about her childhood in the Philippines when they can't even afford to buy "real" juice, but the powdered one.
I mean look at the position I am in now, I live in America, considering my family being in the upper middle class, my dad being able to work at a different country, and etc. I think I'm lucky. I don't forget to give thanks for every single blessing my family have, and I may not be the religious type, but I know when to give thanks to God. We can afford to buy "real" juice here and to think my little sister who grew up here, doesn't even know anything that is powdered, unless it is tea. My family has lived in the Philippines till I was 9, then we moved here. Oh the differences, almost everything here are taken for granted. But I'm thankful that I got to experience how it was In the Philippines and how it is here in the States. I am lucky.
But I bet in some country like the Philippines or some third world country, they would consider "real" juice as a commodity, as it being treated like gold. They simply can't afford it. Well those that can, probably know what "real" food and drinks tastes like.
Be thankful for what you have, because every blessing counts. Stay gold. :]
