Nerd day with Dad

I'm glad that me and my dad have one thing in common, and that is the love for computers. My uncle gave me some beat up old computer and it had some parts in it. I told my dad if he wanted to use some of those parts to his old Dell, and without a doubt he wanted to. So I opened up this old tower and got what he needed, it was the video card. He's been wanting to fix his old dell because everyone just uses his laptop and the netbook, so people usually take turns. I have my own computer so I don't really care if they have the laptop or what not.

I handed him the video card and told him, "Let's fix your Dell dad." He got up got the old devices and just got busy with it. This was the same Dell that had a lot of files that dates back about 7-8 years ago. He just didn't get to use it because he lend me his graphic card. Which was very nice of him, until I broke that video card ;[. My friend hooked me up with another one and totally revamped my old computer. My dad still didn't have his Dell working. He still has to share his laptop to my sisters and my mom.

We started to work on his Dell, he was excited, I KNEW HE WAS. But he kept everything cool. I got the old memory from the beat up computer so we can use it on his Dell, so that we can install Windows 7 on it. Hopefully everything works well. I even put the DVD-ROM recorder on it so that he can pirate away with his movies. Haha, we are much a like, but different in so many ways. The first time I can actually say, like father like son. It was nice. We were just a buncha nerds sitting on the carpet kindling with computers and computer parts. It was great being able to sit with him and not argue or yell. I'm glad he's a nerd like me.
